... Yeah so much for keeping things updated huh? Havent been doing such a good job have I? Bad Allyson ... baaad!
Here I thought things would be less busy but most days it seems they are even worse with the kids gone to school. There is 'ALWAYS' something to be done!
First let me say thank each of you for your continued support and prayers as we take each day a moment at a time.
This road has so many ups and downs, rocks and potholes that each day can be hard to deal with. Some days are worse than others, the days when it seems everything is going wrong and no matter how hard you try you just can't get things to go right.
Then there are the days where things are easier, or we can laugh about the little things and no worry so much about the things we can not change.

The kids have had their share of feeling the pain too. I wish more than anything we didnt have to go thru this. They know that no matter what we are going to do this together.
Logan, Baillie & Jordan ~ we are here for you, no matter what... we love you!! Mom & Dad

Ok so where have we been? What have we been up to?
For one ... I did a remodel on the living room! Took me about 2 weeks and let me say it looks "AWESOME' We were so needing an update in here and we both love the way it turned out!
Since July there has been a few doctor appointments. Terry had to go back to Dr H for a follow up and Dr H prescribed that Terry get a power wheelchair. Well Terry wanted a scooter, but because of the issues he has with his right hand and now somewhat in his left hand the doctor says that the power wheelchair is the better option.
Enter in ... 'The Scooter Store' ... oh what a joy that has been ... The first week they were calling and wanting this info and that info and then the second week they didnt call at all. Terry called to let them know we would be out of town the week of September 24 so if they needed us they would need to call us by the Friday before or after we got back.
Did they? NO they called the Monday morning after we left! ... So when we got home on Friday it was to late to call so Terry called them back first thing Monday, and we waited... and waited...
By Thurs I had had enough... Terry wouldnt call Raphel (our Scooter specialist) back so I told him him ... "Hand me the phone, I WILL get this show on the road!" and boy did I! I wasnt mean but i let him know that we couldnt afford to keep waiting around and something had to be done NOW! ... Keep in mind if this rolls over to next year we would have to meet out $4000 deductable all over again ... ugh
Well Raphie said he was on it and would call me back in the next hour. It was like 30 mins, he called back and we were set to see him the next morning at 10 am ... oh and i already ATT coming out at 9 to work on changing my phone/internet to U-Verse.... boy was it a busy morning.

Imagine our surprize when Raphie finally got here and he himself was in a wheelchair. He actually turned out to be a nice guy. If I known all it took was for me to get on the phone with him, to get things going ... then I would have done from the start!!!
GO ALLY!!!

As many of ya'll know we did manage to take a family vacation down to the beach. We were unsure if would or not but because of not knowing what the future holds we wanted to make some memories with the kids.
Susie even went with us, ya know to help hold down the fort & lil' soldiers :)
Love ya Susie
We had kept it a secret from the kids until the Tursday before we left... and i'm not sure which of the 3 was most surprized!
We had a great time and it was nice to get away from the 'real world' for awhile.

Today we are heading to Emory for Clinic meeting and visit with Dr Glass. We will be meeting up with Diane & Raphie to get the the last of the paperwork and Terry's wheelchair evaluation done so it can be submitted to the insurance for approval.
He needs it help him get around better and more often. His walking has gotten worse and is back to using a walker 90% of the time for fear of falling. His took a nasty spill at his regular doctors office a few days ago and freaked not only me but the doctor, the head nurse, the secratary, and the other nurse out!
Best get moving, got to drive to the big ATL soon ...
Sending love and hugs!
Allyson & Terry
